SRPO PROJECTS - Building Community Resilience in Shikarpur

Project Summary

This activity seeks to address the ethnic and sectarian divides being perpetuated by VE groups in youth in Shikarpur. CRA will provide financial assistance to implement a 6-month long program to mitigate community level conflicts in order to reduce differences to increase acceptance and tolerance between diverse backgrounds. During this project community engagement activities such as community meetings, training of youth for conflict resolution, village level meetings and peace walks will be taking place. A total of 240 youth will be selected for the trainings.  The provision of this assistance will contribute towards increasing acceptance of diverse backgrounds in targeted communities thereby reducing ideological support for VE groups.

Activity Objectives

Objective 1(Activity Output)  Train 240 local youth to support conflict resolution and peace building in Shikarpur

Objective 2 (Activity Outcome) Increased engagement of local youth for peacebuilding initiatives in their    communities     

Objective 3 (IR/Cluster Level) To increase acceptance of pluralism in targeted communities
