Objective: The objective of the Conditional Cash Grant (CCG) activity is to provide immediate relief and support to individuals and families affected by flooding. By offering financial assistance contingent upon specific actions, this activity aims to address both the immediate needs of flood-affected populations and promote longer-term resilience and recovery.

Activity Components:

    • Administer a needs assessment to determine the extent of damage and specific needs of each beneficiary.

    • Prioritize vulnerable groups such as women, children, elderly, and disabled individuals.
  3. Cash Disbursement:
    • Provide a one-time cash grant to selected beneficiaries to cover immediate needs.
    • Ensure secure and transparent cash distribution mechanisms, leveraging mobile banking or community centers.

    • Conditions could include attending community workshops on disaster preparedness, health and hygiene, or participating in livelihood training programs.
  5. Capacity Building Workshops:
    • Organize workshops on disaster preparedness, health, hygiene, and livelihood skills.
    • These workshops provide beneficiaries with valuable knowledge to enhance their resilience against future floods.
  6. Monitoring and Verification:
    • Implement a robust monitoring system to verify beneficiaries' compliance with the conditional criteria.
    • Conduct spot checks, interviews, and community assessments to ensure the conditions are being met.
  7. Impact Evaluation:
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of the CCG activity in improving beneficiaries' well-being and resilience.
    • Collect data on changes in knowledge, behavior, and socio-economic status.
  8. Feedback Mechanism:
    • Establish a feedback mechanism to gather input from beneficiaries and community members on the effectiveness and challenges of the program.
  9. Coordination and Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with local government authorities, NGOs, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure a coordinated response.
    • Share information and lessons learned with other organizations working in disaster relief and recovery.

Expected Outcomes:

  • Immediate relief for flood-affected individuals and families through financial support.
  • Increased awareness of disaster preparedness, health, and hygiene practices.
  • Enhanced livelihood skills and opportunities for beneficiaries to rebuild their lives.
  • Strengthened community resilience and capacity to cope with future floods.
